Nine Elms and Battersea
Living in Nine Elms and Battersea
Nine Elms is one of Central London’s most exciting new neighbourhoods, and encompasses 195 hectares of land between Battersea and Vauxhall, being across the river from Chelsea in the west, with the Palace of Westminster located just to the north.
Dubbed London’s ‘mini-Manhattan’, it has recently undergone a huge regeneration project and now offers many new homes, business and leisure facilities, as well as chic eateries, pop-up markets, leisure areas, parks and more.
The US Embassy has recently moved its headquarters here and it also boasts The New Covent Garden Market – one of London’s largest wholesale markets, offering a wide range of fresh produce and specialty food products.
Nine Elms is well-connected to the rest of London. London’s river bus services operate from Battersea Power Station and St George Wharf, and the new Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms Underground Stations provides access to the Northern line, as well as the Victoria Line at Vauxhall, connecting the area to key destinations such as the West End and the City.
